Nichols reported on NBA television broadcasts for TNT as well as the regular season, playoffs and All-Star broadcasts. The reporter also reported on golf, baseball, and Final Four broadcasts for CBS and TBS. Over the course of 42 years of the award, this was the only time an individual woman was among the 200+ nominees.
