Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and performer. Her main focus is Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Her acting debut was in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is from an Anglo-Indian origin. Her parents were a Madras High Court attorney. She is the younger sister of a researcher assistant from Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to begin studying piano at the age of eight. She was a big geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. In her twenties, she became in a group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the base of her early singing and music composing career. She was an actor at the college, in a variety of performances hosted through The Madras Players or EVAM. The president was of the The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her acting career as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. The role she played in 2006's brand new Leo Coffee advert was with Shiva. She was also the actor in a Podhigai's TV serial. Her performances have been all over India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's finale (2005). Gautham Vaisudev Menon had her sing in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, then asked to have her play the role of a female character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani as a wife and mother whose man has an affair. Andrea was cast in the film after Simran, Tabu, and Tabu had been approached. It was released early in the year 2010. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to fill a smaller support role. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film made by Rajeeev Rath which was released in 2013, was her Malayalam debut.
